Sensormatic
Boca Raton, FL
In October of 1994, Sensormatic awarded me a contract to develop software for use at the 1996 Olympics. The electronic security system consisted of hand geometry scanners and RF (Radio Frequency) badge readers at each entry control point linked to an accreditation database on an IBM mainframe computer via a fiber optic network. I added new features to their existing access control system, performed on-site testing and installation in Atlanta and supported the system during the Olympic games. I also performed exhaustive testing of the firmware in the embedded controllers at each entry control point. This project was coded in C and Informix SQL and ran under IBM's AIX operating system on RS/6000 computers.
